Thongchay works in television, high-fashion modeling, and independent music. He has appeared in several popular Thai television dramas and has walked for global fashion brands.

== Early life ==
Thathanin Benjamin Thongchay was born on April 21, 2006, in Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital in Prachin Buri Province, Thailand. He was adopted by his maternal grandparents. His adoptive father, Wanchai Thongchay, is a Thai-Chinese worker for the State Railway of Thailand. His adoptive mother, Kanokorn Thongchay, is a food seller. Thathanin is the oldest child in his family. He has two younger sisters and one younger brother from his father's side.

Because his family moved often, Thathanin studied in different provinces. He went to Wuttinan School in [[Rayong Province]] in 2014, and Bang Phra Witthaya School in [[Chonburi Province]] in 2015. In 2016, he moved back to Prachin Buri and studied at Wat Sri Prachantakham Community School until he finished primary school in 2018. He then went to Prachantarat Bamrung School from 2018 to 2021. In 2022, he studied at Prachin Kalayanee School for one term before finishing his high school education through the Non-Formal Education (NFE) system.

He is currently studying for a bachelor's degree at [[Ming Chuan University]] in [[Taiwan]]. He studies Communication Arts with a focus on acting. He started by studying the [[Chinese language]], and later added [[Spanish language|Spanish]] and [[French language|French]] studies.

When he was 16 years old, a modeling scout invited Thathanin to try out for commercials in the Siam Square area of [[Bangkok]]. He began doing commercial work to gain experience. In 2022, he returned to the fashion industry as a professional runway model. 

In 2023, he walked as a runway model for the luxury brand [[Louis Vuitton]] at the Men's Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show in Paris, France. In the same year, he modeled for the German luxury brand MCM (Michael Cromer Munich) for their Spring/Summer 2023 collection. He has also modeled for street wear, 1990s vintage fashion, and modern-traditional fusion styles in different magazines.

Thathanin began his acting career as a guest and supporting actor in television dramas for [[Channel 3 (Thailand)|Channel 3]]. In 2018, he played "Kaboon" in the historical drama ''[[Love Destiny (TV series)|Love Destiny]]''. In 2019, he played "Singha" in the drama series ''[[Krong Kam]]''. In 2025, Thathanin got his first main role as "Tan" in the 22-episode television series ''Chao Khun Phi Kap E-Nang Kham Duang''. In the same year, he made his first movie appearance in the comedy film sequel ''Hor Taew Tak'' (2025).

== Personal life ==
Thathanin is highly interested in languages. He practices his Chinese and Spanish language skills and has basic knowledge of French. In his free time, he enjoys active sports, including [[Swimming]], [[Basketball]], [[Bowling]], [[Tennis]], and [[Badminton]]. He also practices the guitar, dances, and bakes desserts. 

Thathanin grew up practicing [[Protestantism|Protestant]] [[Christianity]], but he later converted to Mahayana [[Budhism|Buddhism]]. He frequently spends time doing religious merit-making and visiting Buddhist temples with his family, especially with his grandmother and siblings.
